STRIPED HAIRSTREAK, (Satyrium liparops)
A single brooded species found throughout the eastern half of the U.S. Look for them along forest edges. As with most of the hairstreaks in this genus, I’ve found them very cooperative photographic subjects once located, especially if they are preoccupied with nectaring.
