Tribe Polyommatini, The Blues

A large group of mostly very small butterflies, some with tails. In most of these species, the males are brighter blue on the upperside than the females. These perch with wings open or closed and like hairstreaks, may rub their hind wings. Most are avid flower visitors and many will form large groups at mud puddles.
