ORANGE SULPHUR, (Colias eurytheme)
The most widespread and common sulphur in North America. If you are driving near an alfalfa field in the summer, be prepared to smash into dozens of these butterflies. An avid flower visitor, this butterfly has multiple broods from spring to fall. Some females are white and hard to tell from the common Clouded Sulphur, Colias philodice.
