FALCATE ORANGETIP, (Anthocharis midea)
A lovely delicate early spring butterfly with beautiful marbling on the undersides and the male has orange wingtips on the upperside. They are fast flyers and occasionally alight to get some nectar. There is one brood. Look for this species in the southeastern U.S.
