CHECKERED WHITE, (Pontia protodice)
Commonly found throughout North America, this butterfly can be found just about anywhere to include vacant lots and fields. It avidly seeks nectar where it will slow down enough for a closer look. It flies from spring to fall with 1 to 3 broods.
