ANISE SWALLOWTAIL, (Papilio zelacaon)
A western butterfly found from the northern edge of Arizona and New Mexico up to the three western Canadian provinces. Another common garden visitor this butterfly is also an avid “hilltopper.” Throughout most of its range there is only one spring brood.
