GARITA SKIPPERLING, (Oarisma garita)
A common small skipper found in the western plains and mountain grasslands. There is one summer brood. I’ve found them quite common on the prairie and fairly easy to follow. In the right light and on fresh individuals, the reflective purple hues on the inner portion of the upper wings are breathtaking.
