LEAST SKIPPER, (Ancyloxypha numitor)
A tiny wetland butterfly commonly found in the eastern half of the U.S. Through most of its range it is multiple brooded and flies from spring to fall. Sometimes tough to photograph because of the wet environment it prefers and how the grasses and sedges it perches on are intertwined. Step within 5 feet, and the tangled grasses shake the butterfly from its perch.
