Cribellate Orb Weavers, Family Uloboridae
These spiders use hackled silk in their webs instead of sticky silk. They have a special silk organ called a cribellum and they tease out the silk with a special comb on their fourth pair of legs. Many species add a silk pattern to the centers of their webs called stabilimenta. An interesting fact about this group of spiders is that they do not have venom glands.
