Tailless Whipscorpions, Order Amblypygi
These critters are named for the long front pair of legs that are used as sensory devices.  They are nocturnal and tropical.  During the day they hide in crevices.  In many countries they are welcome in houses because they eat many pests such as cockroaches.  They look menacing, but are totally harmless.
