Scorpions, Order Scorpiones
Everyone is familiar with scorpions with their two pincers and stinger at the end of the tail. Their distribution is worldwide except for Antarctica. Most are desert or tropical, but a few are found in higher latitudes and altitudes. Only a few are harmful to man, but is always best to not bother them. An easy way to find scorpions is by using a black light at night. They will fluoresce a green color.
