Commonly found in open areas, fields and roadsides.  Very similar looking to the Northern Cloudywing (Thorybes pylades), and Confused Cloudywing (Thorybes confusis), and in some areas of the U.S. all three are found together.  Found in eastern half of US.  There are 1-2 broods flying from spring to summer.
