SILVER-SPOTTED SKIPPER, ( Epargyreus clarus)
One of the most recognized and common of the large spread-wing skippers found over most of the US in a variety of habitats. Often seen perching in the same spot and darting out at rivals and curious naturalists then returning to the same perch. There are 1-2 broods flying from spring to summer.
