A southeastern U.S. butterfly that is not as common as its cousins the Southern Pearly-Eye, (Enodia protlandia), and Northern Pearly-Eye, (Enodia anthedon).  It is never found far from cane, its larval food source.  There are 2 brood flying from spring to fall.
