Tiger Mimic-Queen Large 1
TIGER MIMIC-QUEEN, (Lycorea halia)
A tropical butterfly from Central and South America that rarely enters the U.S. in southern Texas and Florida.  I encountered this species in Trinidad.  It is related to the Monarch, (Danaus plexippus) and belongs to a complex mimicry ring of several similar looking species.
